Earlier this week, Mirror Football reported that Tottenham were considering joining the race to sign Southampton right-back Cedric Soares as a potential replacement for Kyle Walker, who has been strongly aligned with a move to Manchester City.

No doubt, the Portugal international is a solid defender, performing consistently since arriving at St. Mary's two summers ago and also lifting the Euro 2016 title with his county in France.

But a replacement for Kyle Walker? In that regard, the 25-year-old isn't especially convincing, lacking that pace and flair going forward which has made the England international such an important player in Mauricio Pochettino's setup over the last few seasons.

With that in mind, we asked Lilywhites fans earlier this week whether they'd back a transfer swoop for the Saints ace and according to our poll, the majority of Tottenham supporters - 60% - wouldn't.
