Revealed: Majority of Spurs fans wouldn’t lower Kevin Wimmer price-tag

Departures rather than signings has been the real talking point around Tottenham Hotspur so far this summer, rightly or wrongly.

Indeed, Harry Kane and Dele Alli will inevitably be in the thoughts of every elite European club, Toby Alderweireld’s contract situation remains up in the air and Kyle Walker reportedly wants to move onto pastures new.

One player the Lilywhites can probably afford to lose, however, is backup centre-half Kevin Wimmer, who has made just 14 Premier League appearances since moving to north London in summer 2015.

According to Mirror Football, Southampton are interested in signing the Austrian international, but they’re unlikely to meet Spurs’ £20million valuation any time soon.

With that in mind, we asked Spurs fans earlier this week whether their club should lower their price-tag of the 24-year-old and although it proved a rather divisive question, a slim majority of 58% reckon their club should stand firm.
