Revealed: Man United fans completely divided over Daley Blind’s future

Manchester United may well be the Premier League’s busiest club during the summer transfer window.

Jose Mourinho is expected to bring in more star-studded names for fees mimicking Paul Pogba’s world-record transfer last summer, but the most activity¬†will likely be seen on the outward front – with the Portuguese yet to truly trim the inflated squad he inherited from Louis van Gaal.

Indeed, United boast incredible depth even if they’re lacking true top-class quality, but Mourinho has always preferred to work with smaller squads and get the absolute best out of them. Likewise, there are already a number of players in the frame to move on – not least including captain Wayne Rooney.

Daley Blind’s future at Old Trafford remains to be seen. The Dutchman is a useful asset and can be deployed as a left-back, a centre-half or a defensive midfielder, but Mourinho doesn’t appear wholly convinced – issuing him just 18 Premier League starts so far this season.

With that in mind, we asked United fans earlier this week whether they’d sell Blind during the summer transfer window and rather unusually, the result of our exclusive poll was an exact 50%-50% split. Here’s hoping Mourinho has a more decisive opinion on the 44-cap utility man.
