Everton appear in no huge rush to address their managerial vacancy, especially with the international break just around the corner.

But we've already seen some prominent names linked with the Goodison Park hot seat following the dismissal of Ronald Koeman, who oversaw a horrendous start to the season after racking up an unprecedented transfer bill for the Merseyside club during the summer.

Indeed, Sam Allardyce has subtly hinted he would be open to the role, while Sky Sports claim the Toffees are interested in approaching Burnley boss Sean Dyche.

With that in mind, we asked Everton fans earlier this week to vote for who they'd prefer to take the job - the former England boss or the Burnley manager - and 81% of those who took part in our poll selected the latter.

That's perhaps due to Burnley's impressive start to the season; after beating Newcastle on Monday night they're seventh in the table, just three points away from the top four, which is exactly where many expected Everton to be at the start of the season.
