West Ham have pulled off arguably the most impressive business of any Premier League club so far this summer, signing four strong additions to their starting XI in Joe Hart, Pablo Zabaleta, Marko Arnautovic and Javier Hernandez.

But those impressive arrivals have exposed an arguable weakness in the central midfield area, especially considering how offensively-geared Slaven Bilic's side could look this season with Arnautovic, Hernandez, Andre Ayew and Manuel Lanzini potentially operating in the same starting line-up.

Coincidentally, the Hammers have already been linked with a potential remedy in the form of William Carvalho, with The Daily Mail claiming the east London outfit are preparing a £25million bid for the 37-cap Portugal international - who Transfermarkt value at £22.5million.

With that in mind, we asked Irons supporters earlier this week whether they'd back a transfer swoop for the 25-year-old and according to our poll, a whopping 92% would be in favour of a deal. Time for David Gold and David Sullivan to get their chequebooks out.
