Sunday afternoon saw Arsenal beat Chelsea at Wembley for the second time in a matter of months, following the 2017 FA Cup final that acted as English football’s curtain call last season.
Of course, the Community Shield pales in importance and significance to the oldest cup competition in the world – it’s essentially a glorified friendly. But Arsenal nonetheless put in a strong performance against the reigning Premier League champions that showed their resolve, coming back from a goal behind to eventually win on penalties.
