HYS: Should Arsenal let Sanchez’s contract wind down?

Talk of Alexis Sanchez’s future at Arsenal just won’t go away and rightly so. With his contract due to expire in summer 2018, today’s clash with Everton could well be his final Premier League appearance for the north London club.

According to The Independent, Chelsea are keen to prise the Chile international away from their London rivals this summer, with Antonio Conte viewing him as the perfect addition to maintain the title-winning philosophy he’s developed at Stamford Bridge.

Arsenal, however, are understandably reluctant to sell to a Premier League rival and haven’t actually done so since Robin van Persie was allowed to leave for Manchester United four years ago. Instead, they’d rather let Sanchez’s contract wind down – even though it could mean him leaving on a free transfer.

Financially, however, that’s a huge call. So, Arsenal fans, how would you handle Sanchez’s contract situation? Would you cash in this summer or run the risk of him leaving on a free transfer in twelve months? Let us know by voting below…
