According to reports from The Daily Mail, Arsenal have 'posted their interest' - whatever the heck that means - in Everton midfielder Ross Barkley.

The England international seemingly fell afoul of Ronald Koeman earlier in the campaign but has enjoyed another solid season on the whole, notching up four goals and eight assists in 34 Premier League outings whilst ranking sixth throughout the division for created chances per match.

With his Toffees contract due to enter its final year this summer, The Daily Mail claim Everton will look to sell if Barkley doesn't sign a new deal - valuing the 23-year-old at a whopping £35million. However, transfermarkt.com value Barkley at just £18.7m.

Tottenham are rated as favourites to sign the attacking midfielder, but with Arsenal's England contingent struggling to deliver and Mesut Ozil potentially departing this summer, can the Gunners afford to miss out on Barkley's signature?
