HYS: Should Arsenal swoop for Morata?

According to reports from The Sun, Arsenal are ready to battle Chelsea and Manchester United for Real Madrid striker Alvaro Morata.

The Spain international has been linked with a Premier League switch for much of his career, having impressed during both of his spells with Los Blancos and during his two seasons at fellow Champions League finalists Juventus.

He returned to the Bernabeu last summer and has gone on to net 22 times across all competitions, but still remains a squad option in Zinedine Zidane’s plans with Karim Benzema ahead of him in the pecking order.

That has seemingly generated interest in the 24-year-old ahead of the summer transfer window, with The Sun mooting Arsenal as the latest club prepared to battle it out for his signature – albeit facing some serious competition in Chelsea and Manchester United.

But Arsene Wenger already has a wealth of strike options at his disposal, namely Danny Welbeck, Olivier Giroud, Alexis Sanchez and Theo Walcott. So, Arsenal fans, would you back a summer swoop for Morata? Let us know by voting below…
