According to reports from Sky Sports, Manchester United have been offered Real Madrid star James Rodriguez in a potential £50million summer transfer.

The Colombian international is famed for winning the Golden Boot award at the 2014 World Cup but he's struggled to reproduce that level of form since moving to the Bernabeu after the tournament, failing to establish himself as a key part of the Los Blancos' starting XI.

It appears Rodriguez's time at Real Madrid will come to an end this summer and a number of sources, namely Sky Sports and AS, have pointed towards a move to Old Trafford.

But Spanish publication Marca aren't quite so inevitable in tone, also discussing Chelsea's interest after Rodriguez apparently rejected the chance to join them in January.

He may have struggled to deliver in the Spanish capital but as an attacking player who can operate wide or centrally, he'd be perfect for the inside forward slots behind Diego Costa in Antonio Conte's 3-4-3 setup.
