According to reports from The Guardian, Tottenham have opened transfer talks with Ajax over a potential deal for Davinson Sanchez, one of the Dutch outfit’s most exciting young players.
During his first season in the Ajax first team, the two-cap Colombian international made 43 appearances across all competitions – including in the Europa League final when he was one of the better performers against Manchester United.
The 21-year-old looks like a real talent in the making and Tottenham could do with some extra bodies at the back.
However, recent reports from the Dutch press suggest the Lilywhites aren’t the only club keen on Sanchez, with Chelsea said to be showing concrete interest.
The Blues have already acquired one centre-back this summer in Antonio Rudiger, whilst Andreas Christensen has returned to Stamford Bridge from a lengthy loan spell with Borussia Monchengladbach.
