Liverpool target Naby Keita could cost Jurgen Klopp nearly £60million should be wish to secure the Guinea international's services this summer, according to reports from The Times.

RB Leipzig have insisted that the 22-year-old is not for sale after his impressive performances this season, meaning Liverpool are likely to have to smash their transfer record if they are to have any hope of signing the midfielder.

“We have decided that we will not sell any player from our starting line-up,” Oliver Mintzlaff, the club’s chief executive, said. "We will keep our team together and keep on developing.”

Keita has been an integral part of Leipzig's squad this season as they finished second in the Bundesliga table and qualified the Champions League for the first time in the club's short history. The midfielder scored 8 times and made 7 assists.

Should Liverpool bid somewhere in the region of £60million, it is believed such a figure would be enough to change the German club's stance on the player - which, if accepted, would set a new record transfer fee for the Anfield outfit.
