Luke Shaw has found himself a marginalised figure at Manchester United this season.

Despite Jose Mourinho already using two defenders, Daley Blind and Marcos Rojo, and even a converted winger, Ashley Young, at left-back this term, with the role clearly proving a problem position for the Old Trafford gaffer, the England international has seen just 45 minutes' worth of action throughout 2017/18 - a second-half outing against Burton in the League Cup.

Injury problems have inevitably been a factor but Shaw is a member of United's registered Champions League squad and after playing the full ninety minutes against West Ham U23s last weekend, he has travelled with the Red Devils ahead of their clash with Benfica tomorrow evening.

So, United fans, do you think it's time Shaw made his first competitive start of the season, or are the likes of Young, Darmian and Blind more deserving of a place in Mourinho's XI for the away clash with Benfica? Let us know by voting below...
