HYS: Should Man United swoop for Kieran Tierney?

Kieran Tierney has enjoyed a phenomenal season as part of Brendan Rodgers’ title-winning Celtic side, impressing not only in the Scottish top flight but also the Champions League.

Earlier this week, the prodigious left-back won the PFA Scotland Young Player of the Year award for the second season in a row, but was quick to quash rumours of a move away from Parkhead. As quoted by The Daily Mail, he said…

“You see stuff in the papers and on Twitter, people telling you and my friends as well, but I just need to concentrate on what I’m doing in training and playing well for Celtic. It’s easy for me because I’m happy where I am. I’m not thinking about anything else other than Celtic and just doing what I can for the team and helping us win every game.”

Nonetheless, the notion of a summer move just won’t go away and The Daily Mail have mentioned Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United’s interest once again – harking back to their reports from last weekend.

Manchester United are certainly in need of a new left-back, with Jose Mourinho utilising five different players already there this season, but is Tierney ready to make the step up to challenging for the Premier League title?

Red Devils fans, let us know if you’d back a summer swoop for Tierney by voting below…
