HYS: Should Pontus Jansson start vs Sheffield United?

Since signing for Leeds United on loan in summer 2016, Pontus Jansson has cemented himself as a firm fan favourite at Elland Road. The supporters were delighted when he elected to join the club permanently at the start of this season after winning a place in last term’s Championship Team of the Year.

But the Sweden international found himself dropped for the Whites’ last league outing following a 1-0 defeat at home to Reading, watching from the sidelines as Thomas Christiansen’s side conceded thrice at the hands of Bristol City.

He was called upon as Leeds lost to Leicester in the Carabao Cup on Tuesday, but that in itself suggests Christiansen won’t start the commanding 13-cap centre-back on Friday night when his side host Yorkshire rivals Sheffield United at Elland Road.

So, Leeds supporters, would you start Jansson against the Blades this week or should he be left on the sidelines once again? Let us know by voting below…
