They say old habits die hard and having never won the League Cup during his two decades as Arsenal manager, history suggests Arsene Wenger won't be taking the competition too seriously this time around.

Indeed, the Gunners gaffer usually uses the first domestic cup tournament of the season as a chance to give some of the club's exciting youngsters the opportunity to impress.

Although Wenger now boasts an incredibly varied and vast first-team squad, something that was particularly evident during the 3-1 win over FC Koln last week, the Carabao Cup clash with Doncaster this evening will most likely witness a few Arsenal youngsters pick up invaluable minutes on the pitch.

And one of the leading candidates in that regard is 17-year-old Reiss Nelson, who featured against FC Koln in the Europa League and in the Community Shield at the start of the season.
