Southampton's display at home against relegation strugglers Hull City was wholly symbolic of a team who have little to play for between now and the end of the campaign.

The Saints registered just two shots on target against the Tigers on Saturday, one a missed penalty from Dusan Tadic, and Puel was booed by sections of supporters at the end of the game.

For the first time in years, those on the south coast have struggled for consistency this term. So, it's not all that surprising to see reports emanating out of French outlet L'Equipe suggesting his future at St. Mary's is far from certain.

Still, Puel is amongst a select few Southampton managers to have guided the club to a major cup final, a game in which they took Manchester United all the way during the EFL Cup showpiece at Wembley.

Indeed, he's also had to deal with Europa League commitments (though the Saints exited at the group stage) in his first season in charge outside of France.

So, with the reports in mind, we here at Football FanCast are asking our Southampton-supporting readers, should Puel be given another season to prove himself?
