According to reports from Mirror Football, Manchester United are set to launch a £40million transfer bid for Tottenham Hotspur star Eric Dier.

The England international was a key part of Tottenham's unexpected title push last season and played an important role for the Three Lions at Euro 2016 as the only out-and-out holding midfield option in Roy Hodgson's squad.

But the 23-year-old has struggled to make the same impact this season, despite registering 31 starts in the Premier League, and may find game-time harder to come by next year should Mauricio Pochettino bring in further recruits during the summer.

At the same time, £40million could go a long way at White Hart Lane, and would provide the cash injection that can justify Spurs rejecting superior bids for some of their more illustrious personnel during the summer - such as Hugo Lloris or Harry Kane.

So, Spurs fans, is it time to cash in on the former Sporting Lisbon youngster, or should the club fend off United's interest? Let us know by voting below...
