According to reports from Mirror Football, Chelsea are looking to offload Michy Batshuayi permanently in the coming transfer window and West Ham are interested in signing their summer 2016 target.
Indeed, the Hammers reportedly agreed a fee with former club Marseille for the Belgium international last summer but he eventually signed for the west Londoners instead in a £33million deal.
But Batshuayi has endured a difficult season at Stamford Bridge and is still awaiting his first Premier League start for the champions-in-waiting, having seemingly fallen out of favour with manager Antonio Conte.
Mirror Football claim Chelsea are already looking to offload the 23-year-old in a permanent deal, whilst hinting West Ham could consequentially revive their attempts to sign the centre-forward – who has netted five times across all competitions this term.
The east Londoners are certainly in need of a new front-man amid Andy Carroll’s persistent injury problems, but is Batshuayi, who Transfermarkt value at £21.25million, really the answer after spending almost all of the 2016/17 campaign on the bench? Let us know by voting below…
