HYS: Southampton fans… Pick your England squad

In recent years, few teams have created as many future England internationals as Southampton, whose academy remains unquestionably one of the best in the country.

Adam Lallana, Theo Walcott, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, James Ward-Prowse and Luke Shaw were all products of the Saints’ youth system, while the likes of Rickie Lambert, Nathaniel Clyne and Ryan Bertrand earned their England call-ups with strong performances for the senior team.

Accordingly, Southampton fans probably pay more attention to the England squad than most, knowing a significant chunk of it is made of Saints representatives and former players.

With that in mind, we’d like Saints supporters to share their thoughts on the latest squad Gareth Southgate has drawn up, for World Cup qualifiers against Malta and Slovakia on Monday and Friday respectively.
