HYS: Vote for Chelsea’s MOTM vs Everton

Compared to a last-gasp 2-1 win over Tottenham at Wembley the weekend prior, Chelsea strolled to a relatively routine 2-0 win against Everton on Sunday.

The Toffees rarely threatened in a 1.30pm clash the Blues almost completely controlled, producing seven shots on target to the visitors’ none and finishing up with the lion’s share of possession.

Midfielders Cesc Fabregas and Willian were key to that, controlling the flow and tempo of the game with the ball and the former even getting on the scoresheet.

Summer signing Alvaro Morata impressed as well, bagging the assist for Fabregas’ opener before scoring himself in an strong first start at Stamford Bridge.

Defenders Marcos Alonso and Cesar Azpilicueta played their parts too, in a win that has put the reigning champions back on the right track after a shock defeat to Burnley on the opening day of the season.
