Under somewhat difficult circumstances, Everton kept their cool to claim a 2-0 win over Hadjuk Split in Europa League qualifying yesterday evening.

Michael Keane's opening goal lead to crowd trouble in the away end and a five-minute break in play as the authorities attempted to restore some order.

However, that didn't put off the Toffees in a match they largely controlled, claiming 65% possession and producing one more shot on target than the visitors.

Soon after the disruption, Ronald Koeman's boys added to their lead through Idrissa Gueye, who was played through by Wayne Rooney for a close-range finish inside the box.

Jordan Pickford, meanwhile, ensured Everton didn't concede a potentially pivotal away goal by producing three vital saves at the other end, and youngster Ademola Lookman also impressed with direct running at the Hadjuk defence.
