HYS: West Ham fans – who is the Irons’ worst summer signing?

When West Ham attracted four experienced names to the London Stadium during the summer, all with proven records in the Premier League, many believed they’d take the club towards the realms of Europa League contention.

But it’s safe to say they haven’t had the desired effect, with Slaven Bilic’s side currently spared from the relegation zone by goal difference alone. Of course, the problems in east London stem beyond four individuals, but few if any have truly delivered on the reputations that accompanied them before the summer.

Marko Arnautovic is perhaps the biggest culprit. The former Stoke City forward is yet to score or assist for his new club in the Premier League despite the Hammers splashing out a record sum for his services.

But loan signing Joe Hart, who Transfermarkt value at £11.7million, has disappointed as well – perhaps epitomised best by the England international’s erroneous save against Brighton last Friday that saw the ball bounce off his palm and into the net.

So, Irons supporters, who do you think is your club’s worst signing of the summer? Let us know by voting below…
