HYS: Where should Chelsea move during Stamford Bridge redevelopment?

Chelsea’s long-term future in their famous old home of Stamford Bridge has been cast into doubt of late, with a story from the Daily Mail claiming the Blues could be facing a four-year exile.

Their current stadium will reportedly take longer than expected to redevelop due to it’s close proximity to railway lines making it difficult to build rafts over. As a result, the Premier League champions elect will be forced to look for a new home over that rather lengthy period.

While Wembley is thought to be the most likely, there are indeed other options. Ground shares with clubs such as West Ham and Reading have been mooted, while Twickenham remains more of a left-field suggestion.

Either way, the impact a move for so long would have on footballing matters isn’t likely to be a particularly positive one. It’ll be rare to see a club, especially one the size of Chelsea having to undergo such a move, but where would fans want to see their beloved Blues based?
