When Everton splashed out just shy of £143million during the summer, many expected that spending to propel the Toffees into a battle for Champions League qualification.
But if anything, the eight players brought in have had the opposite effect. After finishing seventh last season, the Merseysiders now find themselves languishing in the relegation zone and on the lookout for a new manager, having parted with Ronald Koeman following a 5-2 defeat to Arsenal on Sunday.
Indeed, very few of Everton’s summer signings have delivered thus far and a few are already looking like gigantic flops. Attacking midfielder Davy Klaassen, for example, who Transfermarkt value at £16.2million, has failed to provide a goal or an assist in 190 minutes of Premier League action.
But is the Netherlands international Everton’s worst signing of the summer, or do one of his seven accomplices deserve that title?
Let us know who you see as a Toffees flop by giving them a thumbs up, and who has passed the test by giving them a thumbs down.
