They say signings can make you or break you in the world of Premier League football, which is worrying news for the managers of this underwhelming rabble.
The English top flight shattered the collective £1billion spend barrier last summer and kept itself pretty busy in January as well, but not all of it was money well spent – in fact, quite the opposite.
Indeed, it seems every solid signing is accompanied by at least two or three absolute flops these days, so with the Premier League’s 2016/17 campaign starting to draw to a close, we’ve probably seen enough football by now to decide which flop is the absolute worst of the bunch.
There’s plenty of candidates to choose from; Manchester United’s underwhelming world-record signing Paul Pogba, Manchester City’s error-prone glovesman Claudio Bravo and Arsenal’s hot-headed midfield enforcer Granit Xhaka to name a few.
But who gets your vote for the worst Premier League signing of 2016/17? Let us know by taking part in the poll below.
