We've just about reached the quarter-way mark of the new Premier League season and West Ham already find themselves soul searching, trying to understand just why the 2017/18 campaign has started so badly.

Indeed, the Hammers have dropped down to 17th place after a shock 3-0 home defeat to Brighton on Friday night and could even plummet into the relegation zone depending on other results this weekend.

After some very expensive, very exciting arrivals during the summer, this is far from what the fans expected. But placing blame for West Ham's woes remains an incredibly debatable subject.

Slaven Bilic is the obvious fall guy as the manager and it must be said that Friday night was hardly the first time the Irons appeared to have no game-plan.

Similarly, though, we've seen the players capitulate before and that's as much about the negative mindsets of individuals as anything else.

But there's also an overarching theme of the direction David Gold and David Sullivan have taken the club in. It often feels like West Ham walk from one disaster to another and the big decisions at the club ultimately rest with them.

So, Hammers fans, who do you think is to blame for the current problems at your club? Let us know by voting below...
