Antonio Conte's Chelsea side are marching towards the Premier League title and barring catastrophe, they will lift it for the fifth time come the end of May.

But the Italian gaffer will know he'll have plenty of work to do during the next transfer window; the last time Chelsea were anointed champions, their summer recruitment underwhelmed and a few months later Jose Mourinho was out of the job.

According to The Sun, Conte is already looking to boost his squad by being reunited with an old ally - Juventus midfielder Claudio Marchisio.

The versatile veteran won three Serie A titles with Conte at Juve and worked under him once again at Euro 2016 when the Blues boss took charge of the Italian national team.

It's claimed Chelsea have already tabled a bid for the 31-year-old, but have been told they must up the offer to £25million - so we asked Blues supporters earlier this week whether they'd back such a deal to bring Marchisio to Stamford Bridge.

But according to the results of our recent poll, the majority of Chelsea fans - 64% - aren't in favour of a £25million swoop for the Azzurri ace. The Blues would certainly benefit from a few more options in the middle of the park next season, but the fans would seemingly prefer Conte to look elsewhere.
