Southampton travel to south London today to take on somewhat of an unknown quantity in Crystal Palace. The Eagles are yet to pick up a point or even score a goal in the Premier League this season, but the dismissal of Frank De Boer and the appointment of Roy Hodgson could breed some life into the side.

Speaking of a lack of goals, the Saints are suffering from that same problem as well; they've scored just three times in the Premier League this term - all coming in the same game against a West Ham side that were reduced to ten men - and just once from open play.

Although the issues are clearly systematic, with a worrying lack of chances created, we asked Southampton fans earlier this week whether a change in personnel up front is needed for the Premier League clash at Selhurst Park.

And according to our poll, a whopping 71% of Southampton fans want to see Manolo Gabbiadini replaced in the starting XI by Charlie Austin, who has featured only from the bench in the top flight so far this season.

The 28-year-old's scoring record for the Saints isn't exactly top class with eight in 24 league outings, but the 6 foot 2 striker has proved time and again that he's an incredibly natural finisher - one who might just be able to get the goal needed to breed confidence into his side's struggling attack.
