The late summer arrival of Serge Aurier has given Mauricio Pochettino some welcome variety on the right-hand side of Tottenham's defence.

While the former PSG man showed how effective his dynamic power and pace can be in big games against Borussia Dortmund on Wednesday night, playing his part in an emphatic 3-1 win, Kieran Trippier perhaps represents a better option against lesser opposition who'll allow him the time and space to whip expert deliveries into the box.

With that in mind, we asked Tottenham fans earlier this week to vote for which defender should start against Swansea on Saturday as the Lilywhites look to claim their first Premier League win at Wembley following defeat to Chelsea and a draw with Burnley.

And it was the 41-cap Ivory Coast international who narrowly won our poll with 59% of the vote, meaning the majority of Spurs fans would prefer Trippier, who Transfermarkt value at £9million, to watch from the sidelines once again after sitting out the PSG clash in midweek.
