It is that time of year again for West Ham United. The summer transfer window is always a busy period for the Hammers, especially when it comes to their hunt for a striker. It is a chase that has thus far failed despite David Gold and David Sullivan's best efforts.

Simone Zaza, Mauro Zarate, Jonathan Calleri and Emmanuel Emineke are just a few of those who have disappointed in claret over the past years, failing to deliver the goal threat they so promised at their previous clubs. Even Andy Carroll - who many would consider a success at the club - has represented poor value for money with only 30 goals in five seasons with the Hammers.

After a season in which the Irons struggled for goals, Slaven Bilic will be desperate to get it right this time round, and could well find his man in the form of either Manchester City's Kelechi Iheanacho or Chelsea's Michy Batshuayi. Both have been linked with a move to the London Stadium over the summer.

Nigerian international Iheanacho has fallen into the realms of obscurity under Pep Guardiola, especially since the arrival of Gabriel Jesus in January. Batshuayi is much the same, despite hitting the title winning goal at West Brom a few weeks back.

If a move for either striker were to go ahead, it is more than likely to be a loan deal, but who would you rather have lead your line for 2017/18 West Ham fans?
