Chinese Super League side Tianjin Quanjian have recently played down a potential move for Chelsea striker, by claiming that they have not made contact with the Spaniard or his representatives, including agent Jorge Mendes, in the last six months.

While the news may come with a slight sigh of relief for Chelsea fans, it should and probably will be taken with a pinch of salt considering the plethora of rumours over the past year over Costa's exit at the CSL side's relentless pursuit of him last summer.

You will be hard pushed to find a Chelsea fan that will want to see Costa leave the Bridge this summer. The enigmatic forward was a key cog in The Blues' title winning campaign and while N'Golo Kante and Eden Hazard did indeed steal the show, it may come as a surprise to many that in terms of points, Diego Costa was actually Chelsea's most valuable player. In fact, he is the Premier League's most valuable player.

The former Atletico Madrid striker's goals were worth 15 points in the league this season, more than any other player's contribution.

Should Costa leave the Bridge, the favourite to replace him is former Blue and Premier League Golden Boot runner-up Romelu Lukaku. One of the hottest properties in Europe at the moment, Lukaku had an yet another excellent season for Everton, taking his tally to 86 goals in four season with the Merseyside club. At only 24-years-old, the Belgian has an incredibly bright future ahead of him and a point to prove in London, with Chelsea having let him go three years ago without so much as a sniff at first team action.

But who would you rather have leading the line next season, Chelsea fans? Have your say in the poll below...
