Everton are set to host Leeds United in Frank Lampard's first Premier League clash in front of home fans this afternoon, and after a poor performance away to Newcastle United, the new manager will be hoping to capitalise on the support at home to boost the confidence of his players.

However, the Toffees boss did confirm some negative injury news.

What's the word?

Lampard took to his pre-match press conference to confirm injuries to Yerry Mina and Demarai Gray, as well as a late admission on left back Vitaliy Mykolenko.

Lampard was asked about Mykolenko's availability and the new manager responded;

"He's not available for tomorrow, will be available for next week."

Frank will be furious

Since the ex-Chelsea boss arrived at the club, less than two weeks ago, Dominic Calvert Lewin, Ben Godfrey, Gray, Mina and now Mykolenko have sustained injuries, which will leave the manager furious as he has taken on the challenge of turning the Toffees season around.

With Lucas Digne sold in January, the loss of their Ukrainian left back has put Everton in a vulnerable position and the 43 year old will have to build a makeshift defence, with the left back position completely weakened ahead of the Leeds United clash.

Lampard had a fleeting opportunity to sign players on Deadline Day, in which he acquired the services of Dele Alli and Donny Van de Beek, however was unable to secure players to bolster his defence which he may now regret considering Mina has been confirmed to be out for up to 10 weeks and Godfrey out for at least 4 weeks.

Everton find themselves teetering on the edge of a relegation battle, just two points off the relegation zone, and a defeat at home this afternoon could put them in an extremely vulnerable position, especially if Norwich and Newcastle win their games this weekend, the side could be dropped into the drop zone by the end of the weekend.

The injuries to key players like Doucoure, Gray and Mina will cause Lampard a headache and only increase the pressure further on his task to put Everton in a much more comfortable position in the Premier League over the remaining months of the season, especially with a number of difficult fixtures coming up against Manchester City, Tottenham Hotspur and Wolves in the next few weeks.
