Marcus Bent has reiterated Everton are looking to get Moise Kean's "massive wages" off their books before the transfer window closes.

Kean is desperate to leave Goodison Park and been hopeful of securing a permanent return to Paris Saint-Germain by the end of the month.

The striker, who joined Everton for an initial fee of £25.1million from Italian giants Juventus two years ago, scored 17 goals in 41 appearances during a fruitful loan spell with PSG last season.

However, the 21-year-old has been unable to enjoy a similar run of form on Merseyside and notched just four goals over the course of 39 outings.

Matters got worse for Kean earlier this week as, after being handed a rare start, he was needlessly sent off during the Toffees' League Cup win at Huddersfield Town.

He has only made one substitute appearance in the Premier League season so far and former Everton striker Bent feels it is time for Kean, who is earning £53,173-per-week, to leave for good.

He exclusively told Football FanCast: "I don't think that he's an Everton player. I think they probably want to get him off the wage bill because he's on big wages, massive wages.

"I don't think he would ever sustain form or be consistent at the club and I think Everton feel the same way."
