Everton have had another disappointing season by their own expectations and they will undoubtedly look to improve on key areas of weakness in the summer.

Carlo Ancelotti has undoubtedly made an improvement since joining in December but the recent 4-0 defeat to Chelsea shows that there are deep issues in the squad that need addressing in the summer.

One is the defence, and according to The Mirror the Toffees are looking to solve their poor return of 46 goals conceded in 29 league games by recruiting Gabriel Magalhaes of Lille.

The centre-back could cost as much as £30m and that could mean that the Merseyside outfit need to raise funds through a player sale, with the Mirror also suggesting that Yerry Mina and Michael Keane could find themselves "surplus to requirements" in the coming months.

Supporters have been reacting to that news by focusing on those who could leave, with many opposing the sale of the Colombia international.

Mina has featured in all but two of Ancelotti's 11 league games so it seems he still holds favour with the Italian, while Everton are perhaps still keen for the 25-year-old to repay his £27.2m transfer fee.

It seems fans are, too, many of whom would prefer Keane to leave despite the fact he is an England international, while Magalhaes is an unknown in the Premier League.

Despite that, one supporter likes what he sees from the Brazilian, and given he has averaged 1.8 tackles and 3.3 interceptions per game, and has experience playing in the Champions League, he is certainly an intriguing prospect.
