Predicted Everton XI vs Leeds United – preview, latest team and injury news

Everton are faced with a tough test later this evening as they welcome Leeds United to Goodison Park in the Premier League.

The Toffees narrowly defeated Fulham 3-2 last time out with Carlo Ancelotti reverting to a three-at-the-back formation to counterbalance their recent rough patch of form.

Toffees fans, what is your prediction for tonight's clash?

It clearly paid off, so the Italian may be inclined to stick with it against the Whites, who themselves put in a good showing against Arsenal.

So how will Everton line up on their own patch tonight? Here’s what we are predicting…

Ancelotti could make as many as three changes whilst sticking to the same system that brought success last weekend.

He will be forced into changing his left wing-back after Lucas Digne picked up a serious injury during training this week. He is set for surgery and could well miss the next two months of action.

It means there could be a maiden Premier League start for Niels Nkounkou, who has often been the first-choice in the Carabao Cup this term.

On the other flank, Ancelotti went with Alex Iwobi in what was a surprise selection and he’s dealt with the prospects of making another big call here. The winger did a solid job, but he could well lose his place to the natural right-sided defensive option of Jonjoe Kenny instead.

The 23-year-old played in the role on loan at Schalke 04 last season in the Bundesliga, so he should make the step up in the absence of club captain, Seamus Coleman.

Summer arrival Ben Godfrey may also be axed in favour of Mason Holgate, who comes in to partner Michael Keane and Yerry Mina in front of Jordan Pickford in the home net.

Much of the attack is set to remain the same with last week’s goalscorer Abdoulaye Doucoure playing a box-to-box role next to an anchored Allan.

Both James Rodriguez and Richarlison will get some freedom in behind the free-scoring Dominic Calvert-Lewin. He has bagged a whopping ten goals already this season, seven more than any other Toffees player.

The likes of Bernard, Tom Davies, Gylfi Sigurdsson and Cenk Tosun should all be named on the bench.

AND in other news, Everton must cash in on Marco Silva favourite before it’s too late
