Everton have found themselves in a vulnerable position in the Premier League and as such players like Richarlison have been speculated to make a move away from the club, but Frank Lampard could already have a replacement up his sleeve.

What's the latest?

According to Football Insider, Everton have been gifted the opportunity to sign transfer target Adama Traore, as Barcelona will not seek to make his current six-month loan deal a permanent move this summer.

The report tells that a recruitment source has confirmed that the La Liga giants have not been convinced by the Spanish winger.

However, Traore could be offered a new challenge at Everton as the new director of football Kevin Thelwell is reportedly a huge admirer of the Wolverhampton Wanderers star.

Bye-bye Richarlison

Speculation about Richarlison's future at the club has been mounting and recent reports have suggested that the Brazilian's agents are already working on a move this summer, so if the reports are to be believed on Traore, Everton could be well ahead of him by identifying a worthy replacement.

Despite not scoring during his La Liga loan so far, the Spanish forward who was hailed "undefendable" by Jurgen Klopp has been a nuisance for his opposition on the wing in his nine appearances for Barcelona so far.

Traore has been successful in the majority of his dribbles (68%), won the majority of his ground duels (61%), created two big chances and contributed two assists so far, proving that he isn't struggling to make his presence known in his few appearances.

The £50m star left Wolves mid-season after struggling to get game-time in Bruno Lage's team but has been a consistent contributor for the midlands club over the years with 11 goals and 18 assists in 154 appearances.

If Everton do remain in the Premier League next season Traore could be a great addition to add a fresh perspective to the stale forward line that has struggled to impose themselves this season to put the side in a safer position, with Dominic Calvert-Lewin failing to score since August last year.

Lampard could rebuild his forward line by deploying the inevitable link-up play and aggression that Traore imposes on his opponents alongside Calvert-Lewin and Anthony Gordon next season, but will ultimately need to secure safety in the top flight before considering transfer options.
