Marcus Bent has exclusively told Football FanCast that Everton are likely to cash-in on Alex Iwobi.

Iwobi made the switch to Goodison Park in a £34m deal from boyhood club Arsenal two years ago, but despite making 66 appearances, has struggled to become first-choice.

However, whilst Iwobi was signed by Marco Silva in the summer of 2019, he made several Premier League starts under Carlo Ancelotti.

But the 25-year-old has chipped in with just four goals and four assists across all competitions in those 66 outings, and simply hasn't lived up to his price-tag.

Iwobi was a late substitute in Everton's season-opening victory over Southampton, but already looks behind both Andros Townsend and Demarai Gray in the pecking order.

According to Italian outlet, Tuttomercatoweb believe that Serie A outlet Atalanta are keen on signing the former Arsenal academy graduate, and Bent told FFC, that he expects him to leave:

"Everton are talking about getting rid of him. They want to get him off the wage bill, he's a good player, but hasn't had the time to play or show his quality, but I think they want to move him on."
