It's the most wonderful time of the year!

Boxing day is like Christmas day for sports fans, and once again it didn't disappoint!

With tons of goals, shocks and movements at both ends of the table, the Premier League truly delivered a festive bonanza!

We take a look at all things you might have missed on a jam packed day of action.

Kyle Walker-Peters Assist King

With Kieran Trippier and Serge Aurier injured, Kyle Walker-Peters was given a rare Premier League start, only his 3rd this year.

The right-back marked the occasion with three assists in the first half at Wembley.

Claude Puel In Trouble?

Before the festive period many Leicester City fans were questioning Claude Puel and the direction he was taking the Foxes.

But after a win against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge at the weekend, a win at home to the champions Manchester City will surely put those questions to bed.

Three Losses In Four For City

Going into December, the odds on Manchester City going the whole season unbeaten had been slashed from 66/1 to just 10/1.

But after their defeat at the King Power Stadium on Boxing Day, Pep Guardiola's men have lost three out of their last four in the league.

Soft Salah Penalty?

Soft penalty decisions were once again in the headlines after Mo Salah was awarded a spot kick for the slightest of touches.

Newcastle United defender Paul Dummet brushed the Egyptian's arm which was enough for the PFA player of the year to go down.

By the laws of the game it's a penalty, but there is no doubt the Liverpool man could have stayed on his feet.

First Penalty At Anfield

Soft or not, Liverpool's penalty was their first at Anfield in 424 days.

This finally puts end to any fans' conspiracy theories about referees not awarding spot kicks to their team.

Pogba Back

Paul Pogba was back to his best with a fine performance against Huddersfield which was capped with two goals at Old Trafford.

The Frenchman was slated for his behaviour and attitude during Jose Mourinho's reign, but it looks like he is back to his brilliant best.

Kabasele Bang

Christian Kabasele crashed into the post as he attempted to block Willian's goal bound shot.

The Watford defender was given oxygen on the field before a trip to hospital, but the Belgian later tweeted he was fine in a funny tweet:

"Good morning everybody .Hopefully nothing broken but still have big pain Great gesture of the goal post who visited me at hospital  Thank you for your messages I hope to be back as soon as possible   "

The Sub Subbed

Callum Hudson-Odoi was a first-half substitute at Vicarage Road, replacing Pedro in the 43rd minute.

But Chelsea fans were shocked to see the English youngster subbed off for no apparent reason in the 86th minute.

However it was later revealed that the midfielder had a hamstring problem and was brought off by Maurizio Sarri as a precaution.

Ozil Subbed

Another substitution caught our eye was Mesut Ozil's half-time switch at Brighton.

Unai Emery replied to questions about his decision:

"It is one decision tactically, and also the decision is because we have [done] it before because we have a lot of matches away when it tactically changes something, not for the player but for the team,"

It doesn't look good for the German.

Three Goals In First Half In Successive Matches

For the first time in their Premier League history, Tottenham managed to score three goals in the first half in successive games.

Spurs who lead 3-1 at the break at Goodison Park on Sunday, were 3-0 up at Wembley on Boxing Day before going on to win 5-0.

Burnley Can't Stop Conceding

After a 5-1 mauling at the hands of Everton, Burnley have now conceded 41 goals this season.

Sean Dyche's men conceded only 39 goals during the whole of the 2017/18 season.

Delph Sees Red

With Man City desperate to prevent successive defeats, Pep Guardiola's men played the remaining minutes inside Leicester's half.

But when the Foxes threatened to break away, Fabian Delph went in too strongly on Ricardo Pereira and saw red for his challenge.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer Banner

Old Trafford faithful marked the return of their Norwegian hero with his own banner in the stands.

Old Guard

Crystal Palace boss Roy Hodgson and Cardiff City manager Neil Warnock made history as they faced up on Boxing Day.

The two became the first bosses over 70-years-old to face one another. Hodgson, 71 and Warnock, 72.

Hazard Speaks Out

After scoring his side's two goals in their win at Watford, Eden Hazard gave Chelsea fans even more to cheer about in his post-match interview.

The Belgian, who scored his 100th and 101st goals for the club said:

"Now I think me, the fans and players want more. I want to score more goals for the club and want to be a legend like (Frank) Lampard, (Didier) Drogba and try to be my best."

A hint at a stay perhaps?

More Anti-Semitic Chanting By Chelsea Fans

Unfortunately it wasn't all good news for Chelsea and Maurizio Sarri, as the boss had to once again answer questions about fan chants, after supporters were heard singing anti-semetic songs.

Sarri responded:

"I didn’t hear anything. But I think first of all, I want to speak with my club.

“I don’t want to generalise. For 99 per cent of cases our fans are wonderful in every community there are some stupid and altogether we have to fight against the stupid people but not against the Chelsea fans.”

Palace Can't Score

Wilfried Zaha and his fellow Crystal Palace team mates could have been playing for another 90 minutes and they wouldn't have scored on Boxing Day.

The Eagles had 31 shots at Neil Etheridge's goal, but only managed five on target.

Emery Tantrum

With his team struggling against Brighton, Unai Emery vented his frustration in typical Arsene Wenger style, by taking it out on a water bottle.

The Spaniard kicked the bottle towards the stand and hit one of the home supporters.

Despite immediately apologising for his actions, the FA have charged the Arsenal boss with improper conduct.
