It was another fascinating week in the Champions League as all teams played their third opponents of the season.

The English teams went into the week all needing a win, especially Spurs who knew that a loss in Eindhoven would all but put them out of the competition at only the half way stage.

All eyes were on Old Trafford too as Juventus with former United player Cristiano Ronaldo visited for Gameweek Three.

With 16 games played over two nights of action, it is likely you missed some of the key talking points from around Europe.

So take a look through our gallery as we bring you right up to date.

Dybala Fans

It was a disappointing night for Man United at Old Trafford as they lost 1-0 to Juventus.

The only goal of the game was scored by Paulo Dybala which he celebrated with his trademark 'mask' celebration, spot the secret Juventus fan in this picture.

More Mourinho Hand Gestures

Jose Mourinho was at centre stage again, with the media watching his every move.

And once again he responded to criticism by giving the 'three finger salute' to the Juventus fans who were singing chants at him.

Pitch Invaders At Old Trafford

It was all about Ronaldo on Tuesday night as he visited Old Trafford for only the second time in his career since leaving in 2009.

The match was stopped not once but twice because of fans invading the pitch, trying to get a selfie with the Juventus man.

Man United have since been charged by UEFA.

Escalator Crush

There were horrific scenes in Italy when an escalator in the Rome's metro station ran out of control causing injuries to a number of CSKA Moscow fans.

A video circulated online of the escalator speeding up and crumpling under pressure at the bottom.

One man has lost part of his leg from the incident and others have had to have surgeries on their lower limbs.

Dzeko Top Scorer

Thanks to his two goals against CSKA Moscow, Edin Dzeko became the Champions League's top scorer for this season so far.

The Bosnian has been in fine form for the Italian giants, with many believing a return to the Premier League could be on the horizon.

United Late Again

Despite being fined €15,000 last month for being late to their Champions League fixture with Valencia, Man United were again caught up in traffic.

In a bizzarre moment, Jose Mourinho got off the bus and walked the last half mile to Old Trafford, arriving just before the bus.

Trying to make a point Jose?

Angel The Saviour

You sense that PSG really need to go far in this season's competition and with the players they have at their disposal, they really should.

The French champions came from behind twice to draw with Napoli on Wednesday night, but it was Mbappe, Neymar or Cavani that saved them.

Angel Di Maria's 93rd minute strike saved them from their second defeat.

No Crvena Zvezda Fans

There was supposed to be no Crvena Zvezda fans at Anfield on Wednesday because UEFA had imposed a ban on the club after previous crowd trouble.

But towards the end of the game, many fans dotted around the stadium revealed themselves to have been in-hiding.

Jadon Sancho Scored

England youngster Jadon Sancho has had an incredible start to the 2018/19 season with Borussia Dortmund.

His performances for the German side earned him his first England call-up last week, making his debut as a substitute against Croatia.

This week he was in action against Atletico Madrid, scoring his first Champions League goal in a 4-0 win over Atletico Madrid.

Niko Needed That

Bayern Munich are experiencing their worst start for eight years in the Bundesliga as they currently sit in fourth place, four points behind leaders Dortmund.

Pressure in German media is starting to mount on boss Niko Kovac, ahead of their game with AEK Athens.

But second half goals from Javi Martinez and Robert Lewandowski made sure that pressure doesn't increase, at least for one week!

So Did Lopetegui

After suffering a shock defeat to CSKA Moscow in Gameweek Two, added with their horrendous league form, Real Madrid and their boss Julen Lopetegui were also under pressure.

Rumours before kick-off were that former Chelsea boss Antonio Conte was days away from taking charge of the Galacticos, but like Bayern, a win over Viktor Plzen was enough to ease the pressure.

Benzema

Karim Benzema become the third player to score in 14 consecutive Champions League seasons with his goal against Viktoria Plzen in Gameweek Three. The other two are Lionel Messi and Raul.

His goal took his overall tally to 57 in the Champions League, making him the fourth top goalscorer of all time.

Scholes On His Phone

In recent seasons a number of retired Manchester United players have made the switch to broadcasting with great effect.

Midfield maestro Paul Scholes has become a regular pundit on BT Sport's Champions League coverage, but it seems it got a little bored with his role on Tuesday night.

Preferring to check Twitter while Gary Lineker was doing a piece to camera!

Lloris Moment Of Madness

After arguably winning the game for his side at the London Stadium at the weekend, Hugo Lloris lost his side three points in Gameweek three of the Champions League.

With Spurs comfortably 2-1 up in Eindhoven, the Frenchman came flying out of his goal to take down Hirving Lozano despite cover, a tackle that saw him receive a red card.

Spurs went on to draw 2-2, a result that means they will need to win all three of their remaining fixtures, including one away in Barcelona.

Crvena Zvezda's Defence

They may have conceded four against Liverpool and six in their previous two games in their return to the Champions League.

But stats show that Crvena Zvezda's defence have had to face shots at a rate of one every 3.3 minutes!

Salah's Mystery Package

After scoring two goals in his side's 4-0 win, Salah swapped his game shirt for a mysterious package with a Liverpool fan in the stands.

It was later revealed that the box he was given was a £42 chocolate box from Thorntons. Random!

No Lionel Messi

Despite there being no Lionel Messi, it was business as usual for Barcelona as they beat Inter Milan 2-0 at the Camp Nou.

The Argentine was pictured in the stands watching on with his arm in a sling, as he recovers from the fracture he suffered the week before in La Liga.

Brozovic Genius

In recent months we have seen a number of free-kicks scored by the player shooting underneath the jumping wall. See Juan Quintero's effort for Colombia against Japan in the World Cup.

In order to combat this, Inter Milan's Marcelo Brozovic came up with an ingenius idea to stop the ball legally when Luis Suarez attempted it.

By laying down underneath the wall, when the ball went underneath it, he was there as a 'second wall' to deflect the ball over the bar.

After the ball was blocked, replays showed Lionel Messi laughing histerically in his seat at Brozovic's genius block.
