The Premier League returned from an international break this weekend and after absorbing a weekend full of goals and talking points, we sure have missed it.

Gameweek 13 marks a third of the way through the season for all teams and with a busy December ahead, teams were desperate to get three points.

A top of the table clash between Tottenham and Chelsea at Wembley dominated the weekend but there were also a number of shocks and achievements elsewhere.

From David De Gea's 250th appearance to Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang's incredible record, we take a look at all things you may have missed during the weekend.

David Luiz's Poor Defending

It was a night to forget for David Luiz who struggled to deal with Tottenham's attacking football at Wembley.

The Brazilian was all over the place at times alongside Antonio Rudiger as Tottenham started strongly.

Luiz was slated by fans and pundits for turning his back on Harry Kane's shot from distance that left keeper Kepa Arrizabalaga stranded.

Lerma Own Goal

We don't think it's been achieved before, but Jefferson Lerma has a real chance of winning goal of the month for November with an own goal.

The Colombian was merely trying to intercept Sead Kolasinac's pull-back but ended up volleying it into his own net past Asmir Begovic.

Juan Foyth Living On The Edge

Argentinian defender Juan Foyth has had a peculiar start to life in the Premier League and it continued at Wembley on Saturday.

The 20-year-old was playing in his third Premier League game after giving away two penalties on his debut and scoring Spurs' winner in his second.

With Spurs leading early on, Foyth gave Spurs fans a fright by bundling over Chelsea's Eden Hazard in the penalty area. Luckily for him, referee Martin Atkinson thought there wasn't enough contact. There definitely was.

Ranieri Effect

After being announced as Fulham boss earlier in the week, Claudio Ranieri took charge of his first game as he aims to keep the Cottagers in the Premier League.

He made a good start, coming from behind against Southampton thanks to goals from Aleksandr Mitrovic and Andre Schurrle.

Ryan Sessegnon Flourished

It was clear to see that under Ranieri, Fulham play a more direct style, a style that served Leicester so well during his tenure.

One player that is surely to flourish in this style is Ryan Sessegnon, who set-up two of Fulham's three goals on Saturday.

Under Slavisa Jokanovic, he almost looked stifled in his position on the left, hopefully he can start to show his promise under the Italian.

Dele Again

If Dele Alli had the option, he would play Chelsea every week.

The England international scored Tottenham's opener on Saturday, making it six goals in six matches against the West London club.

Chelsea's Unbeaten Run Ends

Chelsea's defeat on Saturday night at Wembley was their first in all competitions this season, if you take out the Community Shield loss at the start of August.

Maurizio Sarri was gutted about his team's loss and in his post-match interview claimed not one single player had played well.

David De Gea's 250th Appearance

David De Gea made his 250th Premier League appearance and he celebrated with a clean sheet at Old Trafford against Crystal Palace.

The Spaniard is 20th in most Premier League appearances by goalkeepers, with David James (572) on top of the pile.

Vardy Penalty King

At 31, Jamie Vardy isn't getting as much time on the pitch as he might like and thanks to a groin injury found himself on the subs bench.

But he proved once again that he's still got it as he came on for Leicester to score the equalising penalty at the Amex Stadium.

His conversion meant he has now scored 12 of his last 14 penalties. Clinical.

Aubameyang Loves Sundays

Thanks to Arsenal's failure to secure Champions League football last season, their fans and players have had to get used to playing a lot of their games on Sundays, because of Thursday night Europa League action.

Luckily, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang seems to like Sundays, his winner against Bournemouth was his 18th Premier League goal for the Gunners since his arrival in January 2018, 14 of them have been on a Sunday.

Neil Warnock's Time Keeping

It is something that unfortunately has become almost part of the modern game, players walking off slowly for late substitutions.

But Neil Warnock wanted to highlight just how much time was wasted when Everton's Gylfi Sigurdsson walked off the pitch at 1-0 up in the 93rd minute.

The Cardiff boss stood by the fourth official and counted out how many vital seconds it was taking, before shouting "40! 40 seconds!"

Southampton Lost Again

Although it was good news for Fulham at Craven Cottage, Southampton's loss means they are now nine games without a win in the league.

The pressure is surely mounting on Mark Hughes who last saw his team win on 1st September.

Top Six Toffees

Gylfi Sigurdsson once again proved the difference for Everton as they squeezed past Cardiff at Goodison Park.

The Icelandic midfielder scored his sixth goal of the season in a 1-0 win for the Toffees who moved up into sixth, above Manchester United.

Morata Loves Being Offside

As mentioned it was a night to forget for Chelsea as they lost 3-1 to Spurs at Wembley.

Alvaro Morata was tasked with leading the line but struggled against the Spurs defence who play a high-line.

The Spaniard was caught offside so many times on Saturday, that he has been caught more times than Bournemouth have all season.

Morata has been flagged 18 times by assistant referees since August and Bournemouth's players as a collective have just 16 against them.

Sane Superb

Manchester City's Leroy Sane once again put in the performance that left fans and pundits questioning: 'how did he not go to the World Cup?"

The German midfielder scored City's third and fourth goals at the London Stadium as the league leaders romped to a 4-0 win.

Protesting Against Scudamore

It was the first Premier League weekend since it was revealed that outgoing Chief Executive Richard Scudamore will receive a £5 million farewell bonus.

Liverpool fans used banners to protest their disgust in the pay-out that will be funded by all 20 clubs giving £250,000 as a donation.

Trent Alexander-Arnold-Beckham

Whether he likes it or not, the hype around Liverpool's Trent Alexander-Arnold isn't going to go away, especially after scoring his first Premier League goal on Saturday against Watford.

The England right-back had another great game for Liverpool, topped with a Beckham-esque free-kick that had BBC pundit Ian Wright purring.

Burnley v Newcastle Delayed

The last game of the weekend saw Burnley entertain Newcastle at Turf Moor on Monday Night Football.

Fans had to wait just a little longer as the game was delayed for 30 minutes after Referee Assessor Eddie Wolstenholme was taken ill before kick-off in the tunnel.

It is believed Wolstenholme was in a conscious state en route to hospital, before kick-off at 8:30pm.

Matt Ritchie Miss

It doesn't matter as Newcastle managed to hold on to a 2-1 win, but Matt Ritchie produced the miss of the season so far.

What this image doesn't show is the fact Burnley keeper Joe Hart has no chance of getting back and Ritchie is literally two yards out.

It was harder to miss!

Newcastle On The Up

Going into November, Newcastle hadn't won a game all season and were at the bottom of the table, three games later they have picked up all nine points and sit in 12th.

Their win at Burnley on Monday night showed Rafa Benitez has finally got his talented team playing as a unit and worries of relegation seem to have disappeared, for now.

Mo Salah Highest Scorer Under Klopp

Quietly Mo Salah is having a pretty decent start to the season and his goal on Saturday was his seventh of the campaign.

The Egyptian's opener against Watford was his 39th for Liverpool under Jurgen Klopp, the most by any player.

Salah Celebration

Mo Salah was accused of 'trolling' Sergio Ramos after he performed his own version of the Spaniard's 'butterfly' celebration when he scored against Watford.

It was in reference to the news that Ramos has himself been accused of doping and failing doping rules last week.
