The start of December sees the start of a busy festive period for Premier League clubs and football fans alike, with the majority of teams playing at least seven games in the month.

This weekend also saw the highly advertised 'Derby Day' on Sunday with Sky Sports showing the West and North London derbies before heading to Merseyside.

For once, the big build-up didn't disappoint as fans enjoyed six hours of football full of talking points, shocking moments and lots of goals.

We take you through all the big moments from Gameweek 14 that you might have missed.

Mounie's Challenge

With his team comfortable at 1-0, Huddersfield's Steve Mounie produced a moment of madness as he went into a challenge with Yves Bissouma with his studs up.

The striker was shown a straight red card and has failed in his official appeal and will now serve a three-match ban. Nasty challenge.

Pickford Error

Derby Day concluded with the Merseyside Derby as Liverpool hosted Everton and arguably produced the biggest talking point of the weekend in the 96th minute.

England's Jordan Pickford managed to tip the ball onto his own bar twice instead of seeing it away for a corner, palming the ball towards substitute Divock Origi who tapped home the winner.

Klopp On The Pitch

After seeing his substitute claim all three points, Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp celebrated by running onto the pitch to hug his goalkeeper Alisson.

Twitter erupted claiming he was disgraceful for running onto the playing field. The FA agreed and he has been charged for misconduct.

Scott McTominay's New Wall

Scott McTominay came up with an ingenious way to stop Southamton's Cedric from shooting his free-kick.

By crouching down, McTominay gave his United team mates in the wall the chance to jump without the worrying of the ball going underneath.

Sadly for them, Cedric spotted this, went over the wall and found the back of the net. Nice idea though from McTominay.

Aguero Left Out

Fantasy Premier League bosses were shocked to see Sergio Aguero hadn't even made the Manchester City bench against Bournemouth.

Guardiola responded to questions on the Argentine's fitness by saying:

"The doctors told me (on Friday) Sergio cannot play. If he plays, maybe it's four or five weeks off. In that situation, this month, with a lot of games, he was not safe."

Morata's Miss

Alvaro Morata was dropped to the bench for Chelsea's home game with Fulham and showed why when he finally did come on with 20 minutes to go.

The Spaniard who has a growing reputation for glaring misses, managed to blaze over from inside the six-yard box with the game at 1-0.

Luckily for him, Ruben Loftus-Cheek scored the all important second goal just minutes later to put the home side out of sight.

Pogba Fail

It was a night to forget for Paul Pogba as he was guilty of a number misplaced passes and horrendous attempts at ball control.

The Frenchman's poor performance set a precedent for the whole team, who fought back to claim a 2-2 draw with struggling Southampton.

Lukaku Slip

It wasn't only Pogba who was struggling for United, Romelu Lukaku started trending on Twitter after he managed to fall over from his own attempt to control the ball.

The Belgian did manage to end his barren run of no goal in 13 games as he started United's first half comeback.

Hughes Sacked

With just one win all season, only three points would have saved Mark Hughes from the sack as his Southampton team faced  Manchester United in Saturday's late game.

The Saints failed to hold on to their early 2-0 lead and on Monday morning it was announced that the club had parted ways with their manager.

Neil Warnock's Birthday Present

On the eve of his 70th birthday, Neil Warnock was given an early gift from his Cardiff players as the Bluebirds beat Wolves in the Friday night game 2-1.

The win saw Cardiff rise out of the relegation zone for the first time this season.

Sterling On Fire

Without Sergio Aguero and David Silva Man City were tested by Bournemouth at the Etihad, but Raheem Sterling was on hand to help guide his team to a 3-1 victory.

The England forward is on fire this season with impressive stats of eight goals and six assists in his 12 appearances this season.

Palace Win Without Zaha Scoring

So far this season, if Wilfried Zaha doesn't score, Crystal Palace don't win.

This weekend the Ivorian did everything but score, with his boss Roy Hodgson singing his praises for his work rate.

Thankfully, for the first time this season, Palace were able to get the win thanks to goals from James McArthur and Andros Townsend.

Pride Celebrations

This weekend saw the Premier League celebrate diversity with the rainbow laces campaign.

Players, officials and managers swapped their normal laces for multicoloured ones, captains wore rainbow armbands and PL branding was changed in support of LBTQ campaign.

Romanian Celebrations

Brighton striker Florian Andone was handed his first start on Saturday and marked the occasion with his first goal for the club.

Andone's Romania celebrated it's 100th birthday this weekend, so it was a double celebration for him.

Aubameyang Loves Sundays

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scored his ninth and tenth goals of the 2018/19 season as Arsenal ran out 4-2 winners in the North London Derby.

The Gabon striker has now scored 16 of his 20 Premier League goals on Sundays.

Banana Skin Thrown

When celebrating his opener in the North London derby, Aubameyang was the victim of racism, after a Tottenham supporter threw a banana skin onto the pitch.

The supporter in question has since been arrested and charged, while Tottenham who have banned him will be subject to an inquiry by the FA.

Dier Celebration

Emotions were already running high at the Emirates but when Eric Dier headed home a first-half equaliser the tension around the ground intensified.

The Spurs midfielder celebrated his goal with a lot of passion and told the home supporters to 'shush', something the Arsenal substitutes didn't like.

Melee

As mentioned Dier's provocative celebration incensed the crowd and Arsenal's substitutes who were warming up on the sidelines.

What followed can only be described as a 'melee' with almost every player on the pitch involved as well as Mauricio Pochettino, who ran down the touchline to play peacemaker.

Ramsey Reaction

In his celebration Eric Dier allegedly told Aaron Ramsey to "sit back down on the bench".

The Welshman was used as a half-time substitute by Unai Emery and was influential in winning the game for the Gunners.

Ramsey took to Instagram to troll Eric Dier with the hashtag #sitdownhesaid.
