It was another pulsating weekend of Premier League action this week with team despite the weather not being ideal.

Gameweek seven is the first one where teams playing in European competition are tested after their first games midweek.

We saw Man City bounce back from defeat against Lyon in the Champions League to put five past Cardiff City and Liverpool become the only team to keep their 100% record with a win over Southampton.

But what did we miss? Once again we have searched high and low for all those funny and important moments that the cameras caught but we didn't.

From Theo Walcott receiving a nasty homecoming to Mauricio Sarri's smoking habits, take a look through all the talking points from this week's Premier League action.

Theo Walcott Black Eye

It wasn't Theo Walcott's first game back at the Emirates since his move to Everton from the Gunners, but all eyes were on him to perform on Sunday afternoon.

Unfortunately for him, he ended up with a black eye after being hit by Petr Cech clearance and was forced off the pitch early.

Highest Scoring Fixture Ever

Considering Arsenal and Everton have been two of the Premier League's main stay teams, it is no surprise that it is one of the most played fixtures in the competition.

On Sunday, it also became the highest scoring fixture after Pierre-Emeric Aubameyang scored the 153rd goal to be scored when the two teams meet.

Everton Left Fuming

Arsenal scored two quick fire goals in the second half to leave Everton with a lot of work to do in the second half, but should it have been 2-0?

Everton boss Marco Silva was left fuming after it was clear that Aubameyang was actually offside when Aaron Ramsey fumbled the ball to him for the second goal.

Jorginho's Stats

Chelsea new-man Jorginho has made an impressive start to life at the West London club in midfield.

On Sunday he set a Premier League record for most touches by a player, getting his foot on the ball 191 times in the 90 minutes. Unfortunately he couldn't help his team to victory of their local rivals at the London Stadium.

Zabaleta's Airkick

While Jorginho was getting his foot on the ball more than any player has in Premier League history, Pablo Zabaleta was doing the exact opposite.

The Argentine managed to pull off the most incredible 'airkick' much to the delight of many.

Maurizo Sarri Is Still Smoking

Chelsea boss was once again 'smoking' on the touchline at the London Stadium.

His method of chewing on a half-smoked cigarette during each half is a weird one, but at least he's not vaping!

Yarmolenko Miss

West Ham had a poor start to the season but they were unlucky to not take home all three points against Chelsea at the London Stadium.

Had Andriy Yarmolenko not committed the worst miss of the season so far, they would have done.

Chelsea Thursday Hangover?

As mentioned, this weekend was the first gameweek of post-European fixtures for the top six. Both Chelsea and Arsenal played on Sunday because of their Europa League fixtures on Thursday.

While Arsenal came out on top against Everton, Chelsea showed real signs of the infamous 'Thursday night hangover' as they drew blanks.

Double Deflection Delight

Xherdan Shaqiri made his first Premier League start for Liverpool at Anfield and was desperate to mark the occassion with a goal.

On the tenth minute he saw his shot deflected off Shane Long and onto an unsuspecting Wesley Hoedt, sending the ball into the goal for a comical own goal.

Mourinho's Poor Form

After an impressive performance in the Champions League midweek, attention turned to Wolves on Saturday for Jose Mourinho's Man United.

Sadly thanks to a Joao Moutinho equaliser, United had to settle for a draw with the newly promoted club.

The result means that United have now dropped six points at home to newly promoted clubs at Old Trafford under the Portuguese's management.

In the ten years between 2006-2016, they had only dropped five points at home.

Sir Alex Ferguson's Return

Before the action got underway at Old Trafford there was an emotional return to the stands for Sir Alex Ferguson.

The former United boss was given a standing ovation as he made his first visit since undergoing emergency brain surgery in May this year.

He's Behind You

Advertising boards are not a new thing but the one at The Emirates Stadiums caught our eye this weekend.

Watch out Petr Cech, Johnny English star Rowan Atkinson is on your shoulder!

Mitrovic Scores Again

Once again Aleksandar Mitrovic was on hand to grab Fulham some points at Craven Cottage, scoring his side's equaliser late on against Watford.

Since he made his debut in February 2018, Mitrovic has now scored 17 league goals, more than any other player across the top four tiers of English football.

Joe Ralls

Cardiff midfielder Joe Ralls may have been a part of his team's 5-0 drumming by man City, but he could count himself as a lucky man this weekend.

His tackle Ilkay Gundogan just before half time was awful and deserved more punishment than a yellow card.

Riyadh Mahrez Goals

Since his big money move from Leicester City, winger Riyadh Mahrez has struggled to make a big impact at Man City and has often found himself on the bench.

With City 3-0 up away at Cardiff, Pep Guardiola brought the Algerian on knowing the game was won.  Mahrez took his opportunity by scoring two goals against a tiring Cardiff to give him some much needed confidence

Aaron Lennon's First Goal

Burnley completed an emphatic first win of the season over Bournemouth on Saturday, running out 4-0 winners, much to the delight of Sean Dyche.

Aaron Lennon scoring would have also delighted the Burnley boss, his first goal since March 2016.

Salah's Audacious Backheel

It's fair to say Mo Salah hasn't quite picked up from his incredible form last season, but it looked like the Egyptian was backed to his best on Saturday.

Before going on to score, Salah nearly scored one of the goals of the season with an audacious backheel that narrowly went passed the post.

Another Penalty For Kane

After breaking his August 'hoodoo' of not scoring by bagging two goals in the month, Spurs frontman Harry Kane has since suffered a small drought in September.

Luckily for him, Glenn Murray was on 'hand' to gift the England captain a penalty on Saturday night. Kane converted meaning he has scored more penalties (13) than any other player in the Premier League since the start of the 2015-16 season.

Spurs' Fans Tribute

After hearing the news that musician Chas Hodges, most known for his partnership with Dave Peacock for their act Chas 'n' Dave, had died on Saturday, Spurs fans paid a fitting tribute to the man.

Both Chas and Dave are huge Tottenham fans and famously created a number of Tottenham songs that are regularly sung on the terraces.

Choruses of 'Spurs Are On Their Way To Wembley' and "Chas Hodges, He's One Of Our Own' rung around the Amex Stadium as Spurs beat Brighton 2-1.

Someone Got Yellow Carded

After complaining last week that he wasn't getting any protection from referees, all eyes were on whether Wilfried Zaha was justified in his comments.

On Saturday, Deandre Yedlin committed a foul on the winger and received a yellow card, to a rapturous and over the top applause from the Crystal Palace faithful.

Wan- Bissaka Hit

The game at Selhurst Park between Crystal Palace and Newcastle was a rather forgettable affair as it ended 0-0.

But the match hit the headlines after Palace defender Aaron Wan-Bissaka was hit by a plastic bottle thrown from the Newcastle United fans section of the ground.

The FA are investigating the incident.
