The Premier League is just a few weeks away, with many teams on worldwide pre-season tours or at least back in training and we can't wait for domestic football to return.

One thing almost every football fan is longing for is to hear the dulcet tones of Martin Tyler on Super Sundays once again.

Tyler and Sky Sports have been broadcasting Premier League coverage since it's launch in 1992 and have brought us some incredible moments.

From Wayne Rooney's volley against Man City to Stan Collymore's effort against Leeds in 2000, we take you threw the greatest Premier League commentaries of all time.

Martin Tyler commentating for Sky Sports

Steve Bruce v Sheffield Wednesday, April 1993

Martin Tyler's commentary as Man Utd won the first Premier League title in 1993 is stuff of legend.

"Yes for Manchester United, Alex Ferguson can't contain himself and that's totally understandable, it's been a phenomenal finish"

Nwankwo Kanu v Chelsea, October 1999

Not only was this a stunning effort by the Nigerian but it was his hat-trick goal away at Stamford Bridge. Martin Tyler perfectly describes the emotion of the moment for both Kanu and his opponents:

"It's Kanu - what's he going to do? Oh, can you believe it? He's flattened Chelsea! He's hit a hat-trick at Stamford Bridge!"

Stan Collymore v Newcastle, April 1996

Martin Tyler has an unbelievable ability to sense when a big moment is on the horizon. Not only was Liverpool's 4-3 win over Newcastle one of the greatest matches in Premier League history, but it produced one of the greatest commentaries too.

"Collymore closing in… Liverpool lead in stoppage time! Kevin Keegan hangs his head… he's devastated!"

Tony Adams v Everton, May 1998

Arsenal wrapped up their first Premier League title with a comfortable win over Everton. Captain Tony Adams scored the fourth in a 4-0 win. Adams was just as rare as Man United not winning the title, Tyler described it brilliantly.

"And it's Tony Adams, put through by Steve Bould… would you believe it! That sums it all up…"

Paulo Di Canio v Wimbledon, March 2000

Sometimes not many words are needed to describe incredible moments, take Paulo Di Canio's volley for an example. Martin Tyler is almost speechless when it goes in:

"Oh I do not believe that,  that is sensational even by his standards"

Stan Collymore v Leeds, October 2000

Four years after that goal against Newcastle, Stan Collymore was at Bradford and back doing what he does best, scoring incredible goals. This time Martin Tyler described his over head kick against Leeds.

"COLLYMORE! Glorious goal, Stan is back and HOW!"

Anthony Martial v Liverpool, September 2015

In 2015, Anthony Martial arrived at Old Trafford with a £36 million expectation on his shoulders and what a way to announce your arrival.

Martial's individual goal against rivals Liverpool was brilliantly described by Martin Tyler:

"Oh… YESSS! Welcome to Manchester United, Anthony Martial!"

Ji Dong-won v Manchester City, January 2012

Sunderland's Dong-Won Ji (left) scores the winning goal

In amongst a long Christmas schedule, league leaders Man City visited relegation threatened Sunderland on New Years Day.

Cue Martin Tyler to evoke almost every motion as viewers are left in shock, not by Tyler's grammatical error:

"Sessegnon, for Ji… he's round the goalkeeper… they've done it! Absolutely incredible! It ain't over 'til it's over!"

John Arne Riise v Man United, November 2001

Another great goal scored at Anfield, another great piece of commentary from Martin Tyler. This time it was a free-kick piledriver from left back John Arne Riise.

Tyler is just as stunned as us when the ambitious effort flies past Fabien Barthez:

"Goodness gracious me… it's amazing the goal is still standing!"

Wayne Rooney v Arsenal, October 2002

Clive Tyldesley announced the arrival of a young Wayne Rooney on to the Premier League stage after his winner against Arsenal in 2002.

"A brilliant goal! A brilliant goal! Remember the name… Wayne Rooney!"

We certainly did Clive.

Nine years later Rooney was once again creating match winning moments and this time it was Martin Tyler who was on hand to produce some incredible commentary:

"Rooney! It defies description! How about 'sensational'? How about 'superb'?"

Not many people had an answer to Tyler's questions, but did anyone care?

Sergio Aguero v QPR, May 2012

It will probably be forever known as the greatest moment in Premier League history and Sky Sports commentator Martin Tyler didn't let us down.

With City needing a goal to win the Premier League ahead of rivals Man Utd, up stepped Sergio Aguero to produce a moment of pure magic.

"AGUERRRRRRROOOOOOO… I swear you'll never see anything like this ever again!"

Jamie Vardy v Manchester United, November 2015

With Leicester fever starting to sweep the nation, Jamie Vardy's strike against Man United in November, showed they meant business and also saw the striker notch his eleventh consecutive goal, a Premier League record.

Martin Tyler once again was on hand to announce the historic moment:

"Vardy! It's eleven! It's heaven, for Jamie Vardy! Hold the the back page! Hold the front page! A Leicester player has smashed the record!"

Federico Macheda v Aston Villa, April 2009

This was almost as impressive as Tyler's reaction to Sergio Aguero's goal, in terms of the pitch levels he reached.

Great turn by Macheeeeeda… Astonishing!"

Erik Lamela v Man United, April 2016

With Tottenham striving to keep up with Leicester City, a win against Man United was essential. After a dominant second half performance Spurs were 2-0 up, then Erik Lamela stepped up and Martin Tyler did the rest.

"Spurs in full flight here.... Lamelaaaaaaa....1,2,3"

Michael Owen v Manchester City, September 2009

Michael Owen proved his slightly controversial move to Manchester United was worth it when he scored the winner in the Manchester Derby in the 95th minute.

This game was full of great goals and commentary provided by Rob Hawthorne, but this was by far the best moment:

"Cleared away as far as Ryan Giggs, whose placed one for Michael OWEN, Oh this is incredible! Beyond added time, Michael Owen with his first Old Trafford goal for Manchester United makes the place erupt and Mark Huges is RAGING!"
