Jurgen Klopp has revealed that Adam Lallana is expected to return from injury next month, as reported by the Liverpool Echo.

With Sadio Mane currently injured, Liverpool's attacking threat has taken a huge hit, which was evident in the goalless draw with Man United at Anfield last weekend.

But Lallana's return should definitely give the Reds a huge boost, and our writers have had their say on how important they believe the midfielder really is to Klopp's side...

Sadio Mane's recent injury meant that Philippe Coutinho took up a spot in the attack against Manchester United and Liverpool were left with a midfield three of Emre Can, Gini Wijnaldum and Jordan Henderson.

One of the reasons they struggled to break down the Red Devils defence was because of that lack of creativity and finishing qualities from the aforementioned trio. Lallana will add those attributes to the midfield on his return from injury, and he has that ability to unlock defences because of his technical ability.

In some ways, he is arguably the club's most important player in that respect, and he will help turn the high number of draws the Merseyside outfit has already had this season into wins in the future.

With Mane injured, Liverpool have clearly lost some of the creativity they have with the Senegalese forward, but with Mohamed Salah now in the ranks - and after an impressive display against Manchester United before, perhaps, his international exploits caught up with him - Jurgen Klopp finally has a replacement for his most effective attacker.

In fairness, to have Adam Lallana back to face Southampton in a month’s time would still mean missing another five games, and whilst it will be a boost, you get the feeling he won’t be up to full speed for another few games; though that does raise the possibility that the England man could be back to full match fitness for the clash with Chelsea in late November.

He’ll still miss games like Huddersfield and West Ham, though, when his side will need all the creativity they can get.

We often praise Sadio Mane as Liverpool's most influential player and Philippe Coutinho as their most talented, but Adam Lallana's importance often slips under the radar.

The England international's fluid playmaking style, which is so effective because of the way he so frequently changes the angle and pace of attacks with cute reverse passes, is perfect for Jurgen Klopp's philosophy going forward, but he's instrumental for the Reds off the ball as well.

Whether in midfield or part of the attack, he's the trigger for the high press that has been behind so many of Liverpool's best performances under Klopp. And considering the poor run the Reds are on now, especially in terms of conceding goals, Liverpool are crying out for Lallana to come back into the team.

For a club that has spent nearly £400million on new signings over the last five years, Liverpool seem to be increasingly more reliant on one or two key players to ensure victory.

Mane, Countinho and/or Lallana injured or away seems to send the former European Champions into meltdown.

Liverpool need to distribute their quality around the team far more in order to ensure future success.

There is no question that Liverpool have missed Adam Lallana's creativity. Much has been made of Liverpool's attacking capabilities this season, but they struggled to create against Manchester United last time out. T

hat was not the first time that they failed to open up a back four, and it will not be the last. Lallana is not going to score 20 goals a season, but the England international's craft has been missed at Anfield.

Lallana has been missed for both club and country after becoming an integral part of each team over the past year. For England he is the creator and link between midfield and attack, and for Liverpool he adds assists, goals, and works extremely well in that front three or just behind.

Liverpool haven't been short of goals this season, but if Lallana had been available they would have added more on the scoresheet.

However Liverpool's problem is at the back, and Lallana's return will do little to ensure shut outs for the back line.
