Yesterday’s Serie A transfer roundup divulged information on Rafael Leao’s expected move to AC Milan, Napoli’s interest in Hirving Lozano and news on Kevin-Prince Boateng. Today’s edition shares an update on Lucas Biglia, a bid made for Inter striker Mauro Icardi and Fiorentina entering the race for Radja Nainggolan.
Report: According to Italian journalist Alfred Pedulla, former Argentina international Lucas Biglia has said yes to a move to Genoa. The latter have offered the 33-year-old a three-year contract worth €1.7m (£1.55m)-€1.8m (£1.65m) a season.
Verdict: It seems that the Rossoneri may have been anticipating this move, having already signed two central midfielders during this transfer window in Franck Kessie on a permanent deal from Atalanta and Rade Krunic from Empoli. Biglia, at 33 years of age, is not the future of the club, which may explain why he could be on his way out. He signed for £17.28m in 2017 and has since made 56 appearances for the San Siro outfit, but has not made a fantastic impression. His performances in Milan have not hit the same heights as at Lazio, his previous club. He will still be able to do a job for Genoa, but he does not match the seven-time European Cup winners’ aspirations. A good move for all involved.

Report: Napoli have “made a move” for Internazionale’s Mauro Icardi, according to Corriere Dello Sport. The deal would reportedly be worth somewhere in the region of €80m (£73.2m) for the Argentina international.
Verdict: Icardi has had a controversial time at the San Siro to say the least. He is far from loved by the fans, who have taken significant offence to comments in his autobiography in which he effectively invited them to a mass brawl, and he has also been stripped of the captaincy. Most recently, Antonio Conte has confirmed that he has no future at the club. Despite all of that though, on the pitch he is one of the deadliest strikers in Europe. He has 124 goals in 219 games for Inter and has twice won Serie A’s Golden boot. If it wasn’t for his current club’s desperation to sell him, a far higher price would no doubt be mentioned. Napoli do already have Dries Mertens and Arkadiusz Milik up front, but when a striker with the quality of the 26-year-old becomes available, it is always worth considering. If Carlo Ancelotti could tame Icardi’s wild side, it could be the perfect match.

Report: According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Fiorentina want to sign Radja Nainggolan this summer. La Viola are already said to have made contact with Inter in regards to a potential transfer and are in talks as they attempt to reach an agreement.
Verdict: Nainggolan was one of the hottest properties in Europe in recent years, with the Premier League especially interested. Eventually, he moved to Internazionale from AS Roma last summer for £21m plus Nicolo Zaniolo and Davide Santon. As it looks now, the Giallorossi got the better end of the deal. His performances for his new club last season were considerably worse than they were at the Stadio Olimpico in the league. Still, the talent is there, and Fiorentina would be getting a classy midfielder in the 31-year-old. Guiseppe Marotta has already confirmed (Sky Sport Italia via Football Italia) that the former Cagliari man will be leaving this summer, so Fiorentina’s interest is likely to be real.
