When Chelsea forked out a big fee for Tiemoue Bakayoko during the summer, many assumed he'd instantly replace Nemanja Matic alongside N'Golo Kante in Antonio Conte's starting XI.

But the France international has started just two of the Blues' five Premier League fixtures so far this season and found himself on the bench once again when Arsenal travelled to Stamford Bridge on Sunday.

Conte brought on the 23-year-old at half time and he did go some way to changing the game, but it was Cesc Fabregas who started in the engine room next to Kante and the Spaniard proved to be one of Chelsea's most effective players against his former club.

Indeed, 110-cap playmaker laid on the most chances of any player on the pitch, while ranking joint-first for tackles and second for passes throughout the Chelsea team - although some of that was achieved after he moved into attacking midfield in the second half.

So, Chelsea fans, who do you think should be Kante's most regular partner in central midfield this season? Let us know by voting below...
