HYS: Who is Spurs’ most important player?

It would be inaccurate to suggest Tottenham Hotspur don’t boast some fantastic individuals, but few would dispute that the Lilywhites’ greatest strength lies in their ability to perform as a team.

That organisation, spirit and energy is what drove them to within inches of the Premier League title last season and currently has them on course for another top four finish, with plenty of praise due for Mauricio Pochettino – the man who has forged such an impressive collective at White Hart Lane.

Nonetheless, that creates a rather intriguing debate – who is actually Tottenham’s best player? Or, to put it a better way, who should be the first name on Pochettino’s team sheet every week without fail?

There’s plenty of candidates to choose from, ranging from shot-stopping captain Hugo Lloris to boy-wonder-up-front Harry Kane, from marauding full-back duo Kyle Walker and Danny Rose to superstar prodigy Dele Alli.

Therefore, we’re opening up the discussion to our Spurs readers; let us know who you think is the most important player in Spurs’ usual starting XI by voting in the poll below!
