HYS: Who should start at right-back versus Manchester United?

Liverpool will face one of their biggest home tests of the season when they host Manchester United on Saturday.

Although the Red Devils are the only member of last season’s top six yet to take on another this term, their scintillating start to the campaign is hard to ignore; six wins and one draw from seven games, while conceding only two goals.

It’s therefore vital Jurgen Klopp gets his starting XI selection right this weekend and particular emphasis will be placed on a defence that has consistency conceded sloppy goals this season.

Perhaps the most notable area of contention is the right of defence. 6 foot 2 defender Joe Gomez occupied the No.2 role last time out against Newcastle, but he faces competition from fellow youngster Trent Alexander-Arnold.

As the more offensive and exciting full-back, he’s seemingly a better fit for Klopp’s philosophy and local-born academy products always tend to bring an extra ounce of energy into derbies.

So, Liverpool fans, who do you think should start at right-back in Saturday’s early kickoff? Let us know by voting below…
