Tottenham's Premier League campaign kicks off with a trip to Newcastle in Sunday's 1.30pm kickoff.

It looks set to be an exciting clash to bring in the new season but some selection headaches have inevitably come Mauricio Pochettino's way, none more so than the situation on the right of defence.

With Kieran Trippier set to be sidelined for the next few weeks, Pochettino must not only decide whether to line up his side in 3-4-3 or 4-2-3-1 but also who should fill the Englishman's void against a club that will be desperate to re-announce itself in the Premier League.

Bearing that in mind, we asked Spurs supporters earlier this week who they'd like to see replace Trippier in the starting XI - Eric Dier, suggesting a 4-2-3-1 setup, Moussa Sissoko, most likely in the wing-back role, or promising youngster Kyle Walker-Peters.

And although our poll revealed Sissoko to be the preferred choice, the most surprising aspect of the results was how poorly Dier fared, picking up just 26% of the vote. Walker-Peters, meanwhile, despite still awaiting his Premier League debut, took 35% of the vote.
